Lewellen
Named after Frank Lewellen, this little village of less than 200 people is becoming a great stop for art, wine and music!

- Blue Water Art Gallery is on the corner of Main and Highway 26 and features art and photography from local artists and photographers. The building is a restored art deco gas station that also houses a body shop.
- Next is the old theater building worth watching in the coming months.
- Rex Miller Artisan Studio is a fine furniture workshop occupying what was once a hotel and swinging bar.
- The Most Unlikely Place is a surprising cafe and coffee shop a few doors down with the artwork of three siblings.
- The Village Green was a project of AmeriCorps volunteers using a trail theme.
- Gracious Givers hosts a thrift store on the corner and a food pantry in the white metal building.
- Lewellen Lodge is east on Church Street providing suites at a very reasonable price.
- Bank of Lewellen/Legends West is located in a beautiful 1920's building. Look out back for one of the tiniest stores in Lewellen.
- The Lewellen Public Library may be one of the smallest libraries in the country!
- The Lewellen Methodist Church, built in 1902, sits behind the post office at the end of Main Street and features a great collection of stained glass windows. Go another block west for Grace Lutheran Church featuring a dark, wood octagonal ceiling. The Community Wesleyan Church is located at the west end of Lewellen on Highway 26. The United Methodist Gathering meets weekly at the Most Unlikely Place at 10:00am Sundays.
- Public Park and free swimming are found on Fair Grounds Road.
